PROGRAM FOR MASSAGE THERAPY PRACTITIONERS
Offered in Québec
Length: 400 hours
Prerequisites: High school Diploma

To become a massage therapist, the student must acquire fundamental understanding of the human being. The basics of anatomy, physiology, pathology and human relations are essential to understanding how we as humans function. Particular focus is placed on studying and practicing massage therapy techniques. Internships are integrated early in the learning process so that clinical experience is gained quickly, to help better integrate theory and practice.

PROGRAM FOR MASSAGE THERAPISTS
Offered in Québec
Length: 1000 hours +
(including the 400 hours in
the Practitioner's program)
Prerequisites: Practitioner's program

A number of programs are available for massage practitioners who want to undertake more advanced studies in massage therapy. Students may undertake their massage therapy studies in the same approach as initially studied, or in a new approach. Students enjoy more internships and clinical practice than in the practitioner's program, thereby ensuring a smooth integration into the work force and maximizing their chances for professional success. This component of the program is particularly important to future employers.
