Learning isn't enough and knowledge isn't everything. Practical and clinical application of knowledge is essential when training competent therapists. In every pedagogical case where applicable, theoretical teaching periods are followed by closely monitored practical courses. During these courses, the students add indispensable hands-on experience to their theoretical framework, which ensures excellent application of massage therapy.

The better the evaluation of progress, the better the training.

The Kiné-Concept Institute evaluates the progress of its students in many different areas. The theoretical evaluations are short but frequent, and preferred to lengthy exams which, in general, put more emphasis on the memorisation of the material than its understanding. This method allows students to quickly see where they stand in terms of integrating their knowledge and it helps the teacher better discern which aspects have been fully understood.

Practical evaluations are less frequent. Instead, we allocate more time to providing students the opportunity to practice their newly acquired techniques. A personalised report is given to each student after their evaluation, with the goal of improving all facets of their learning of massage therapy.

Through the ongoing training courses, humane qualities are also evaluated. Recognising one's own limitations and those of others, and active listening, are all defining qualities of massage therapy.
