Admissions


Fees




To be admissible to one of the study programs in massage therapy or massokinesitherapy at the Kiné-Concept Institute, you must satisfy the following conditions:


Hold a high school diploma (D.E.S.), have completed Grade 12 or the equivalent, and all other prerequisites proper to each of the professional training programs.

High school biology and science courses (an asset).

Be 18 years of age or older. If the candidate is under the age of 18, they must have written authorisation from a parent.

All candidates must have a satisfactory spoken and written knowledge of the language in which the training is given.

Have knowledge of the basic manoeuvres of Swedish massage, i.e. to have attended an initiation to Swedish massage at the Kiné-Concept Institute.

A mature student status may be granted to candidates who don't meet the necessary admission requirements if they are 19 years of age or older at the date of the start of classes. An interview and/or an entrance exam may be required.


Teaching Methods


Teaching is provided through lectures, however the focus is on the practical. Students must participate in internships and various training workshops.

Financial aid


Different forms of financial aid are available, depending on each person's situation. A KCI advisor can inform you on your admissibility and the conditions which apply.

  Certain partnering financial
  establishments offer financing.

  The Institute organises an annual contest
  for the granting of study and research
  scholarships.

  In some cases, you may cover the cost of
  tuition using an RRSP (registered
  retirement savings plan) or RESP
  (registered educational savings plan).
